It's Quick
Website flipping has been a buzzword but Trevor Somerville has added a nice twist. He calls it Website Flopping and I have a personal experience of it adding money to a Paypal account really fast.
The guy has a nice simple fast approach to creating websites. He recommends Nvu for the site creation part of the job and he uses it himself. It is free, it is often recommended to newbies, and there are a lot of online videos about using it. You hardly have to read to get going.
I was reading through the step by step parts of the course and got up to day 8 (out of 30). It was really good.
I had wanted to try using Google Adwords but didn't know what to advertise. Wasn't really enthusiastic about promoting weight loss, stop smoking, (or hemorrhoid cream anyone?)
But this hit just the right note and I jumped in and opened an account. Being cheap and not even embarrassed about it, I set the maximum cost per click at 25 cents. Cheap is a powerful positive force, btw, as long as it isn't extreme.
I realized I wasn't going to get a lot of clicks at that price but that was fine. Two days later I get an email from Paypal saying that $47 has been added to my account from the sale of this course.
Checked the Adwords stats and had been charged for 6 clicks totaling $1.28.
Off and running!
Statistically that is really unlikely and I certainly don't expect that rate to continue, but the course is set up really well for people who do want to sell it. A person has to buy it to get an affiliate link and if the sale is refunded or cancelled, the affiliate account goes out the window with it. There is a good money back guarantee.
When you resell the course, the entire purchase is put straight into your Paypal account. Trevor makes his money from the up sells to his higher priced products.
That is not what the course is about; sell this course to make money quickly, that kind of stuff. It was just nice that this was available too.
It is a very well organized way to put together websites using free resources. By his standards the site is a flop if it makes less than $3 a day with Adsense and he sells it. Even then he makes good money. Even sites that pay a dollar or 2 a day are are not that common. It takes a bit of talent or good information to put one up. When people do see proof of earnings for one they tend to invest.
